Lake Martin water levels are managed by Alabama Power and typically begin lowering in September or October, depending on rainfall and annual water management decisions. Levels generally start rising again around March 1st each year. During the off-season, water depth at docks and boat slips may be lower during that time, than shown in summer photos.

This condo is absolutely lovely — the pictures don’t do it justice — and the large balcony was the highlight for us. We stayed here the last two weeks in May, 2025, and the breezes from the lake kept us comfortable and cool. Best of all, there is a sun shade you can hook and lower (via hand crank) to your liking, and secure to the balcony railing, when you’re getting full -on afternoon sun. Over Memorial Day weekend, noise from motorboats was virtually non-existent, which surprised me. Lake Martin is truly quiet. And the sunsets are exquisite. NB: if you’re into sunsets more than sunrises, be sure to check location of your prospective listing before booking. This condo has SUNSET views, and they’re beautiful. The linens were top notch, as were the pillows and mattresses. The master bath has a wonderful walk-in shower and large walk-in closet. As for the kitchen, the plates, bowls, glasses, etc. are quite nice — no melamine stuff — and the flatware is nice, too. But if you’re super into cooking, you might bring along your favorite knives, skillet and sauce pans (that’s what I do); the cookware in this kitchen is sparsely stocked with non-stick stuff and plastic cooking utensils. But that said, there are so many great places to eat that you might not cook as much as you think you will. The fridge was thoughtfully stocked with cold bottled water and juices, and the pantry was stocked with laundry detergent, garbage bags, and paper towels (and a big box of lunch-size snack bags which included Funyuns and other salty treats). It was clear that Tiffany, the booking agent, and the owner wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to get started. Enthusiastically recommend this condo with five strong stars.
